BattleRanker Terms

Using BattleRanker

BattleRanker lets people compare contenders in head-to-head Battles, build personal rankings, view Official Rankings and create ranking topics and related Battle content. Use the service lawfully and in a way that does not interfere with other people or the operation of the site.

Accounts

You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity performed through your account. Information you provide when registering should be accurate enough for the account to function. We may suspend or disable accounts that are used to abuse the service, compromise security or repeatedly publish prohibited content.

User-created content

Do not submit content that is unlawful, threatening, deliberately deceptive, privacy-invasive, infringing, malicious, or that you do not have the right to submit. You keep ownership of content you own, but by submitting it you give BattleRanker permission to host, display, format, moderate and distribute it as needed to operate and promote the relevant BattleRanker feature.

BattleRanker may edit, hide, archive or remove user-created content where reasonably necessary for moderation, legal compliance, site quality or technical operation.

Rankings are opinion-based

Official and personal rankings are generated from Battle choices and ranking algorithms. They are entertainment/opinion results, not statements of objective fact, professional advice or endorsements. Rankings can change as new Battles are recorded or the ranking system is improved.

Images and third-party material

Creators should only upload or select images they are entitled to use. Where BattleRanker records an image source or credit, do not remove or falsify that information. Content sourced from services such as Wikimedia Commons remains subject to the applicable source licence and attribution requirements.

Availability and beta changes

We aim to keep BattleRanker available and accurate, but we do not promise uninterrupted operation or that every feature, ranking or piece of content will always remain available. Beta features may be changed, reset or removed as the service develops.

Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded. Subject to that, BattleRanker is provided on an “as available” basis and is not responsible for losses caused by matters outside reasonable control or by relying on entertainment rankings as professional or factual advice.
